Mission:
We are looking for an ambitious, externally facing Director of Partnerships and Business Development to evaluate, pursue, and execute upon needle moving opportunities across partnerships, pr, events, and more. For purposes of this role, we think of partnerships as larger scale opportunities that meaningfully elevate the brand or create new business opportunities, possibly even becoming independent business units/initiatives over time – rather than smaller, incremental deals. A successful candidate will be a well-connected, big thinker who can pivot seamlessly between taking meetings, updating a detailed project plan, redlining a term sheet, and representing at events and parties. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in making big deals happen at the forefront of culture, media, and entertainment. This job will initially report to the Executive Chairman. 
 

What you will do:

  • Pursue and evaluate potential opportunities.  
    • Take meetings and represent BOTM’s interests well.
    • Develop a strong understanding of the objectives of all parties involved. 
    • Scope and define areas of collaboration and actionable deals. 
    • Own and update a well organized tracker for all opportunities. 
    • Keep relevant stakeholders and company leaders informed and aligned. 
  • Lead execution of active partnerships and other externally facing opportunities.
    • Create and maintain a well organized project plan.
    • Create presentations, terms sheets, and other relevant materials 
    • Anticipate risks and proactively mitigate and communicate them 
    • Work cross-functionally with the internal teams to execute,
    •  Manage all aspects of the project to achieve its goals, and report results. 
  • Interface with agencies, consultants, and other third parties who are involved across various aspects of any given project. 
  • Attend industry events, parties, and dinners to represent BOTM and cultivate relationships.

  • Extroverted networking who is good at building professional relationships.
  • Capable of identifying the ask/offer of any given opportunity and evaluating its impact on the business. 
  • Experience with term sheets and negotiation.
  • Makes high quality work product -- especially decks. 
  • Very organized and meticulous.

 
Salary Range: $130k to $200k
