Manager, Growth Marketing
New York, NY
Full Time
Marketing
Mid Level
Book of the Month is looking for a performance-driven marketing manager to accelerate our growth. In this role, you'll blend analytical rigor with creative thinking to build campaigns that drive real results. You should be comfortable thinking strategically, executing tactically, and iterating quickly based on data. You’ll own meaningful initiatives, test bold ideas, and help shape the future of a brand readers love. We’re a small team with big ambitions — and your work will be visible and impactful from day one.
About the Role
You will support our growth initiatives by:
- Proactively identifying and executing new customer acquisition opportunities — including channels, partnerships, media buys, and activations — with the goal of driving incremental enrolls for Book of the Month.
- Generating insights about our customer, product, market, and brand, and using those insights to develop and launch compelling campaigns.
- Driving measurable improvements across the funnel — from lower CPAs to higher conversion rates — through creative testing, landing page optimization, and performance analysis.
- Collaborating closely with product, editorial, and creative teams to bring growth ideas to life across paid, owned, and earned channels.
About You
- 3+ years of experience in growth/marketing at a DTC brand, ideally a subscription service.
- Deep understanding of customer acquisition strategies, channels, and tactics.
- Experience with creative development — you can turn customer insights into compelling concepts and judge if creative aligns with the strategy.
- Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to interpret performance data and act on it.
- A self-starter with a track record of taking ownership and driving projects from strategy to execution.
- Ability to perform in a highly iterative and dynamic work environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- High standards for quality and attention to detail.
- A love of reading and contemporary fiction.
Base salary range: $100,000 to $150,000
