Book of the Month is seeking a dynamic Product Design Engineer to act as the bridge between design and engineering. This role is a blend of product, design and engineering as a result of Claude code entering the business. As a part of the Product Team, this role will report into our VP of Product and work closely with the UX design team to optimize their workflow to get designs up on our site and app faster and more efficiently.

What you will do…

Optimize the design to site pipeline for components and pages to minimize cycle time from Figma to production.
- Own creating new components from Figma to Storybook using generative coding tools.
- Partner with design to update the design system to make it more legible for Claude.
- QA all components and get sign off from UX design before deploying to Storybook or production.
- Partner with engineering on creating infrastructure to support quick design deployments to our site and app.
Optimize marketing design workflow by creating tools using Claude code or other coding tools that support landing page multivariate testing.
Surface bottlenecks in the design-to-prod pipeline and propose tooling solutions.

About you…

Degree in CS or Product Design required.
1-2 years of work experience as a Front End Engineer or Product Designer, but we’re open to various levels of experience.
Excited about building a new set of design tools, leveraging Claude, that gets new designs in front of members efficiently.
You love problem solving and feel empowered by the new Claude code tools and the use of it in the design-to-production pipeline.
Knowledge of Figma with the ability to navigate it comfortably and inspect.
Familiarity with design systems and how they are structured.
Familiarity with React and React native.

We’re open to multiple levels of experience for this role, therefore our the compensation range is $100k - $140k.
