Summary: 

Book of the Month is seeking to hire a creative strategist who will help accelerate our growth efforts and elevate our brand. As a Growth Strategist, you will be responsible for development and deployment of campaigns and programs that successfully grow our membership. This is an excellent opportunity for a growth-minded individual to integrate the strategic aspects of consumer marketing with the conceptual aspects of brand storytelling.

What you’ll do…

  • Generate insights about our customer, product, and market through various research methods, and use these insights to develop compelling campaign strategies and creative briefs that increase new enrolls. 
  • Work collaboratively with a tightly integrated creative team to develop campaigns that drive growth referenced above, including participating in creative concepting and briefing.
  • Manage creative testing across our social media ads and influencer channels.
  • Work closely with the product team to create and optimize landing pages, enrollment funnels, and the other on-site interactions that are part of customer acquisition.
  • Act as a curator of culture, staying ahead of new ideas, broader trends, and industry shifts, and recommend strategic changes to acquisition efforts as needed.
  • Serve as a brand steward and thought partner to senior leadership, working closely with them in an iterative fashion to drive the best outcomes for the business.
 

What you should have… 

  • 3+ years of experience across some combination of the following:
    • Brand strategy/brand marketing role at an agency or in-house
    • Growth marketing at a DTC or tech enabled service/app/marketplace where the primary transaction happens online.
  • Deep understanding of brand positioning, storytelling, messaging development, and audience segmentation, and how that applies across the full-stack of customer acquisition opportunities.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience translating research and data into clear and compelling insights that drive creative strategies.
  • Experience briefing  a creative team on a concept, and experience providing feedback to creatives to improve the alignment of the concept and the final product.
  • Extremely high-standards for your own work product and the work product of others.
  • Passion about reading fiction aligned with BOTM taste as a primary source of entertainment and enjoyment.
  • Ability to perform in a highly iterative and dynamic work environment.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, and comfort jumping quickly into projects with limited direction.


Salary Range: 90,000 - $140,000
